The number of people who acquires insomnia rises during Christmas season. At least that's what I think. Here are some reasons why people tends to be insomniac during this time of the year.
1. Limited Edition
STARBUCKS 2007 freaking PLANNER - This may exclude people who are already counting on caffeine to continue breathing. You see, that 2007 planner is really one helluva planner, it's Starbucks for freakin sake.
Of course, before you can get those hands on that planner, you must accumulate at least 21 stickers. For some, that means 21 sleepless nights because of the amount of caffeine you get. But then again, you could order the creme based ones.
2. Too much Excitement -If you've just been given a tech gadget, say an N-series phone as a gift, tendency is you'd stay up all night because you are just too excited to discover every feature Nokia has put on it. You might as well start reading the manual too.
3. PROJECTS/ CASE STUDIES/ BULLSHIT FREAKIN SCHOOL WORKS - Our section has 3 projects all due next year. 4 students per group. The first subject requires us to make a point-of-sale system plus inventory. Second subject requires us to make an arithmetic calculator. And lastly, an algorithm promming case study.
Professors don't really give a damn about students like me. They always give projects during Christmas break and expect us to finish it on time, that is the first week of the following year. Christmas break is supposedly our only break from school wherein we can really relax. What part of holiday don't they get? It's HOLIDAY.
Sometimes I wish I'd taken up any Bachelor of Arts Degree, say
Film and Audio Visual Communications , Sociology, or any course not involving the use of computer, math, circuits and programming.

At the end of the day, there are some things you just can't help but talk about. Some things we just don't want to hear, and some things we say because we can't be silent any longer. Some things are more than what you say. They're what you do. Some things you say because you have no other choice. Some things you keep to yourself. And not too often, but every now and then, some things simply speak for themselves. - Dr. Meredith Grey
