Thoughts before leaving for Bangkok, Thailand.
1. I just came home a while ago from Glorietta. Me, Mari an Herbert saw the Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End, and just like the previous two series, this one is also pretty fucking amazing. I think this one is the last of the trilogy. But Mari said the producers has not yet confirmed if it really is the last. So Johnny Depp fans, don't fret, our pretty hot sexy on-screen lust hero might stay a lil bit longer as the uber savvy Captain Jack Sparrow. haha. GAwwd, I soo freaking love Pirates of The Carribean that when I saw this bag with a big sull and bone print in silver, pink and green with matching hidden mickeys on a souvenir shop in Disneyland HK, I immediately grabbed it without looking at the price tag and without multiplying by 7.

2. I am leaving for Bangkok on a four-day trip. The flight is sheduled tomorrow morning, and we're flying PAL. This is my second out-of-the-country tour in a span of less than 10 days, weird eh? I'm like, "Mom, why are we leaving so sudden?" I tried my best not to ask so many questions neither complain because it's easy for her to say "It's okay if you don't want to go". Heck! I really want to go so I have no choice but to follow the schedule even if it means prolonging my internship. I really wanna travel while I'm still young and restless so that I can have an idea of the life I would want to lead. Like do I see myself living in that particular place years from now? When I was in Hong Kong, I imagined myself living on a fabulous condo apartment in Hong Kong Island, earning a fat sum, shopping for fab clothes, partying til dawn and just doing whatever it is that I want. Am I imagining too much? Anyway, still nothing beats my wildest dream of being fluent in Nihonggo so I can settle in Japan. Not as an entertainer but as a freelancer. hahaha. I wonder what kind of job would that be most likely? hmm?

3. For tomorrow, I will have no luggage aside from the backpack that I will be carrying. I don't have my own luggage, I am only borrowing from my tita and since she is coming with us, I have no choice but to put everything on a backpack. How inconvenient especially if you are carrying a backpack made for laptops. hehe.

4. The sad part about every trip is that we have to leave the dog behind. On our previous trip, she was fed by my tita and my cousins. For this trip, our baby dog will be stuck with my tito whom she despises so much. Besides, our dog is not used to being alone for a long time. She was spoiled so she's acting the way spoiled children do. Gawwwd, she will be so sad, I wish I could bring her with us everytime. ;( sad.

5. One of the good things about travelling on a third world country is that is cheap. For this trip, I ony packed 4 shirts and 2 pairs of jeans. I think clothing will never be a problem in the first place since we are going to Bangkok to shop for clothes. Unlike with HK, I will try to have some good rest in our hotel room. When we were in HK, our hotel room just became a sleeping barracks. We haven't got the chance to enjoy the hotel room since we were booked solid for the entire duration of the trip. So that's one thing I learned, if your trip is short, try not to book every single day of that trip. Have some time for yourself to discover the town by your own. That's prollu a better way to enjoy your trip. ;)

I love HK.
Departure

20 years old na ako, at unang sakay ko pa lang to sa airplane. Pathetic ba?

Altitude of 35,000 ft.

Well, i'm proud to say na kahit unang take-off ko un, natuwa ako at hindi ako nalula. So, nothing new naman naman sa Pilipinas from up high.

Arrival at HK.

Tour Guide #1
Jacqueline and name ng unang tour guide namin. 150 hkd or 1000 pesos isang pinggan. Although she's probably the best tour guide kasi ang galing niya mag-english and she has a sense of humor like that of the Filipinos.

I think super galing na nila kung marunong silang magenglish kasi mahirap kayang magshift from mandarin to english, from characters to alpahbet. db? I asked him, "Do you have a girlfriend?" sabi niya "No" sabay tawa. Tapos sabi ko "How about a boyfriend?", aba tumawa lang siya.

Pano kasi inuulit niya ung sinasabi niya tapos mah "HA!?" sa huli.. haha.. post ko yung sound clip niya sa multiply some other time. hehe..

The Hotel

Harbour City - Gateway

Hotel Room

So pag wala kaming magawa stroll stroll muna kami sa mall. Name it, they have it. haha.

Day 1
And itinerary namin sa Day 1 ay sa Victoria Peak sa Hong Kong Island at Ladies Market sa Mong Kok, Kowloon. First stop is Ladies MArket sa Mongkok. Nakabili ako ng t-shirt and shoes. Aside dun, wala na kami mabili dahil, believe it or not, meron lahat nun sa Divisoria at mas mura pa.

Peak Tram

Oveerlooking HK Island

Next and Final stop, Vicotria Peak in Hong Kong Island. We took the Peak Tram para makarating sa taas. Gawwwwwd, the view pare, walang katulad. Take note, foggy dun. hehe.. ;)

All hail the princess.. ;)

Triplets?

Kung akala niyo na sa London, Amsterdam, New York, at Las Vegas lang merong Madam Tussaud's Wax Museum, well meron din niyan sa HK. Dun din siya located sa Victoria Peak. Sobrang enjoy magpicture picture dun kasi parang totoo talaga sila. Sobrang enjoy sa place na yun.

Day 2

Itinerary for today is to go to HK Disneyland. Nagpapicture kami kay Mickey and Minnie and Daisy. haha. aun.

Hindi na namin hinintay ang bus ride namin pabalik dahil 9 pm pa , so nagtrain kami from HK Disney to Tsim Sha Tsui and successful naman ang pag tratrain namin. One more place na I suggest sa puntahan niyo ay yung Nathan Road, around Tsim Sha Tsui rin to sa Kowloon, isang stretch siya na street na may mga stores. Bossini, Giordano, Hang Ten, etc. Basically maraming shps, restaurants sa Tsim Sha Tsui. Come on, say Tsim Sha Tsui, hirap no. haha..

Cute ng train, Mickey yung windows!

Day 3

Shenzhen, China ang stopover namin for this day. We took a 45 minute train from Kowloon to China. Layo no?

Final stop at Windows of the World. They have miniatures ng mga different landmarks sa different countries. Like Eiffel tower, Niagara Falls, Leaning tower of Piza, Pyramids of Giza, Mt. Rushmore, etc.

Day 4
Awww.. day 4 na, so sad, we're leaving na our fabulous hotel room and the fabulous HK. So ang itinerary for the day is Ocean Park, Hay sa bundok pala located ang Ocean Park and we had to take cable cars just to get from the lowland to the headland. Sa headland kasi ang main attractions so kahit nakakalula, no choice kami.

Departure from HK

PAL Flight PR 307 ang flight namin at dun kami sa tail ng eroplano nakaupo. as in tail kung tail. At first rough ung byahe kasi nasa tail nga kami and may times pa na mejo umalog un aircarft.. exciting ano? yeps, :) Well, I promised na babalik ako ng HK no matter what!

Me? a cop?
One of my friend's brother asked me, "when are you expecting to graduate?"

"March 2008, hopefully".

I add 'hopefully' everytime people ask me when I am expecting to graduate.

"And what job are you considering?" , he added.

"Any job that does not involve a routine, meaning going to work at 8 am and the leaving late in the afternoon or in the evening, the same workstation, the same workload, the same tower. I do not want to bore myself to death with the same routine everyday. I really want to be spontaneous", I said.

"Ahh, then you should be a policewoman or firewoman or something", kuya said.

Okay, that's really not what I meant.

Serene
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking this sinful world as it is, Not as I would have it;
Trusting that you will make all things right if I surrender to your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with you forever in the next.
Amen

Mother's Day baking
Question.

what's made of cream cheese, topped with blueberry filling,and....

baked and then chilled using a dumb square tray?

uhh.. Blueberry Cheesecake?

Last night, I thought i'd make a Blueberry Cheesecake since I'm such a sucker for blueberries. So I headed out to the grocery and bought me some ingredients which I got online. My first impulse was to find canned blueberries. I hurried to the canned goods section and I couldn't find blueberries. I was panicking because, what's a blueberry cheesecake without blueberries right? It took me 3 times to scan the shelves before I actually saw canned blueberries beside the strawberries in the lowest shelf. I grabbed it and headed for the next ingredient.

I knew I wouldn't have problems finding cream cheese because it's not like it's a rare ingredient and everytime I go to the grocery, I always see cream cheese side by side with my favorite yoogurts. SInce I have a limited budget, I got the locally manufactured cream cheese because it's cheaper.

Second dilemma was finding this specific ingredient. I went back and forth to the chiller but I still wasn't able to find it. The recipe will not be complete without this, so before I surrender and put the rest of the ingredients back to where I got them, I figured to go to the chiller one last time. Scan scan scan... It's out of stock I think. "I went all this trouble for nothing", I mused. For the last time, I asked the good supermarket crew or whatever you call them, " do you have this ingredient" I asked. "Are you the one who's looking for this earlier? It's the only thing we got here", he said. Yeah that's it! I grabbed, put it in my basket and smiled giddily . This crew is definitely a life saver. :)

So I checked out te things I bought at the counter then I went home and started making my first blueberry cheesecake.
I put it in a square tray because no round pie pan is available, so don't laugh alright? Besides, this is my first baking since ever.

TODAY

is Mother's Day. I greeted my mom a happy mother's day and presented my gift to her. Guess you what, she didn't have a piece. hahaha. She said, she appreciates all this but she didn't want to have a piece. She's like afraid to taste it, like she'll be posioned or something. haha. I knew this is what would happen considering mom's never a fan of cheesecake nor my cooking. ;)

Instead, I gave some to my cousins, the dog, and to the two Sunday household helpers. I hope my sister would eat too as soon as she wakes up. And I expect a lot of criticisms and mock from her because that's how we do it and that's our way of saying "what a great job" . hahahaha..

Though this is my first time to make one, I think my cheesecake is scrumptious h-e-a-v-e-n-l-y. Really. No pun intended. :)

So, I still have 80% left in the tray. Too bad, there's no class so I wouldn't be able to share it with my loving friends.. hehe.

Cheesecake anyone?

Re: Blind Obedience.
Yesterday, I learned that my friend's dad who's a politician, was not carried by this Religous Organization. Let's call that organization RO. haha.
The person who told me the news also commented that the politician dad will surely lose the position to his opponent for two main reasons. One, his opponent is carried by the current administration congressman and mayor. Second, RO's endorsing his opponent. Any chance of winning will be determined only by the people, who, political analysts regard as "matalino". As in their famous words, "matalino na ang botante".
Let's just say that I am not at liberty to discuss my opinions out of respect with different ROs. I'll just leave it up to you to decide whether this kind of 'endorsement' is good for the future of this country.

Potential employee?
it's lunch break already. i've finished my lunch so now i'm blogging.

yesterday, an HR officer from the company where i'm having my OJT called me through my phone and asked whether i'm interested to work in their company. i said " no, i'm not interested since i'm already having my OJT in your company". She said in a sarcastic tone "you don't want work with us?". I thought she just confused my OJT application with an employment application that's why I said no.

Suddenly I realized that she was asking if I'd like to join them as soon as a graduated. I said, "I'm interested and what should I do?". She then interviewed me through the phone and the conversation lasted for about 8 minutes. Before we hung up she told me that I should expect someone to call for the next step.

**
Honestly, what did I feel? Well, I feel flattered that they had actually recognized me as a potential employee in their company.

Did I feel excited? No, not a bit. Why? Because I get nausea everytime I think about my future. It's like my chest is ripping apart and my stomach's turning upside down. I still have one more year in college and why won't some people just let me enjoy that instead of letting me worry about future jobs or careers.

I think I should worry about my thesis first.

OLD.
I am still here at the ofc and i have no task until 11am. Since idle time is blog time, I will definitely update this blog.

When I was in elementary, I wished to be older so that I could do whatever it is that I want. When I was in high school, I prayed that time would pass so that I could go to college and have freedom. When I was a freshman in college, I hoped to pass every subject so that I could graduate just perfetly in time.

I am now an incoming senior, having my internship and I am wishing, praying and hoping that time would slowly pass so that I could still enjoy the few months left of my youth.

The thought of growing old makes me wanna pop a bottle of aspirin and chase it with beer. haha. Don't worry i'm not suicidal at all. You know it's just that sometimes I think that perhaps it's better to die young than having to experience being old and all the problems OLD has.

Months from now, I will enter another stage. When that time comes, I will not be able to do what a normal teenage girl does because heck, I am freaking old. hahaha.

Maybe my thoughts about OLD are all wrong. Maybe OLD is fun and exciting because there'll be so many things that only OLD people can do or experience. Maybe I will truly live when I'm OLD. Until then, the fear of getting old will still remain with me. right right??

"Life happens when you're busy planning other things" - John Lennon.

So that's just what I'm trying to do, live every second remaining before I get too old. :) Perhaps you should too.

I ate steel last night.
I went to see a dentist last night to see if my teeth are brace-worthy. The dentist said my teeth are slanting and by the time my wisdom tooth appears, it will be more likely to slant in an outward manner. So she advised braces to be installed and I said it would be okay since slanting teeth are the last thing I want when I'm old.
