Frosh Party
We are seniors but we're definitely as fresh as those froshies.

I think I have to buy a new pair of shoes since mine's already wrecked from last night's frosh party. Every year, our university holds a concert to welcome froshies in all colleges. There's not a best way to kick-off four hellish academic years than watching great bands perform for free, right?. Plus there's so much prizes they gave away to thomasians last night courtesy of the event's sponsors.
I wasn't aware of the concert until a professor said that a stage was being set-up in front of the main building. Me and my classmates are big on concerts. Whether it's for free or not, we are always willing to watch bands perform live. Since this is our last year (hopefully), and that concert probably would be our last "Aba, USTe ka na!" concert,we decided to watch after class.

First off, a band who claims to be a "SKA" band from baguio performed. They are named Space Flower. I was practically laughing at their weird dress code. Everyone's wearing coat and tie but only in different striking colors. The vocalist wore violet, the guitarist wore blue, pink for the keyboardist, maroon for the drummer and red for the sax player I think.

In between the first band the next are parlor games that are so boring I might have actually killed myself. Thank God Dylan of Nu 107 was there to liven things up. Also, the parlor games took a lot of time that Mari and I were discussing the possibility of the last band not performing. It has already become a tradition in UST that the administration turns-off the lights as soon as the concert reach a certain time. I'm not sure if it's 12 midnight or something. With or without anyone performing, baamm they turn the lights off.

Session Road performed next. Hannah Romawac, whom we all recognized with her long dark locks, is now wearing short cut hair. Session Road is one of the bands whom I became attached to as a growing college girl. I started listening to them when I was still a frosh and up until now, their songs never leave my iPod. I so love 'em. One good thing about watching live bands is that we can lust over those hot rockers while they perform their thing on stage. May bago na kami pinagnanasaan kaso taken na siya. haha.

To wrap the concert up was the band with the sexiest vocalist evarr. Have you guessed it already? If not, you better head to your nearest music bar and grab a copy of their album so you'll know what I mean. I was overwhelmed with joy for not missing this concert because Brownman Revival was the last band who performed. Words can't describe why I love them but I know one thing, Dino's so hot I actually thought the smoke's coming from him and not from the smoke machine. Gawwd, I so love that vocalist. Hmm, I wonder what he tastes like. haha.

Because there are still people who want her OUT of the house.
Wendy is on for the PBB big winner race. What a great way to show the degrading morals of the country.

Can't she just keep her nasty ways to herself.

Wish ko lang alam nya ang difference between pagpapakatotoo sa sarili at pagpapakatao.

Rawwrr!!

Weirder than the usual weirdness.
After I finish writing this entry I promise to go home and start reviewing for my quiz in CISCO tomorrow.

Right now, I am at the Coffee Beanery in Robinsons Pioneer (their milkshake tastes like BUKO shake) taking advantage of the mallwide free wifi. Yes, it's for free. Talk about major convenience for internet people and business people alike. It's hard to find a perfect spot though because this is quite a very small place. Only a deprtment store and a few restaurants and no-brand-name-stores make up this place. Thank God, a coffee shop exists here so that people won't have to flock in KFC or Shakey's or any other restaurants just to make use of the free connection.

We are connecting to the internet in our house through dial-up. Very unlikely since my course is IT, I should have broadband or DSL connection right? However, due to some reasons I don't. Maybe it's because we're so lazy to go to the TelCo, or having Broadband/DSL won't fit to our budget. Whichever way it is, trust me dial-up sucks.

I am writing this entry because these past few months the thought of maybe I am, after all weirder than usual, won't leave my system. I have, therefore, enumerated a couple of reasons why I think I am born weirder than I used to believe and why this weirdness did't surface on my early years.

1. I am turning Japanese. Well, sort of. Unlike some people of my age who are engaged with Anime or Manga, I am just plain drawn to their culture and language. The truth is, before I used to think of Japan as a sad and brutish place where the hit delicacies are dead babies and sushi.

2. Being a couch potato is so high school. I don't spend a great deal of time watching tv nowadays.

3. I read books and novels one after the other. Since I don't watch TV nowadays, I usually read.
And if I were to spend my money, I'd spend it on a book.

I have a couple of reasons in mind, but that's all for now. I have to leave this place since I've been here for 4 hours already. Gawwd, my back hurts. Ciao.. ehem.. Sayonara. =)

Di pa siya na-evict? So sad.
Nakakatawa naman talaga ang PBB, sino ba naman ang mag-aakalang makakaligtas pa si house maid mate Wendz

Right now, parang isang malaking circus ang big brother house habang nandun si Wendy. Ang saya niya panoorin, especially the part where she starts making a fool of herself. (Note: pwede nyong palitang yung "fool")

Hindi ako galit kay Wendy dahil di ko naman siya kilala personally. Let's just say meron talagang asal yung mga tao na sa sobrang EPALOGS, eh nakakatawa at nakakainis both at the same time. Siya yung tao na yun para sakin.

Anyway, I just wanna share this quote from housemate JB, way back season 1.

"Nakaligtas man siya (Raquel) ngayon, sa 3rd eviction night bibingo rin siya."

I'm not sure if those were the exact words but hey, people you gotta start warning Wendz. weehee.

Last day of free coffee vending.
I was standing in front of the coffee vending machine and I found myself staring at it for a while. Apparently, there were 5 choices in the vending machine --Coffee, Cafe Latte, Cappuccino, Choco Latte, and Cafe Mocha. Ever since I started my internship, I was always opting for a mug of Cafe Latte. Not a day that passed that I chose another drink as an alternative.

Today is my last day as an intern. As I was standing in front of the vending machine, I took a deep breath and run my eyes down the choices. I looked at the words, one by one. Today is my last day and I should choose my last drink carefully, I thought. This may not be as important for some as it is for me. But heck! This is the last drink that I will be getting from that vending machine wherein I spent a few minutes of everyday getting free coffee.

In no particular reason, I chose Cafe Mocha.

Cafe Mocha was the last free drink I got from that vending machine.

Today is my last day and I will miss that vending machine as much as I will miss this office and the people around here.

Samson

SAMSON
by Regina Spektor

you are my sweetest downfall
i loved you first
i loved you first
beneath the sheets of paper lies my truth
i have to go, i have to go
your hair was long when we first met

samson went back to bed
not a hair left on his head
he ate a slice of wonder bread
and went right back to bed
and history books forgot about us
and the Bible didn't mention us
and the Bible didn't mention us
not even once

you are my sweetest downfall
i loved you first
i loved you first
beneath the stars that kept on falling on our heads
but they just don't like
but they just don't like
your hair was long when we first met

samson came to my bed
told me that my hair was red
told me i was beautiful
and came into my bed
oh, i cut his hair myself one night
a pair of doll scissors on a yellow light
and told me that i'd done alright
and kissed me 'til the morning light
'til the morning light
'til the morning light
kissed me 'til the morning light

samson went back to bed
not a hair left on his head
he ate a slice of wonder bread
and went right back to bed
oh we couldn't bring the columns downs
we couldn't destroy a single one
and history books forgot about us
and the Bible didn't mention us
and the Bible didn't mention us
not even once

you are my sweetest downfall
i loved you first
i loved you first
beneath the sheets of paper lies my truth
i have to go, i have to go
your hair was long when we first met

One afternoon on the 9th floor of a building in Leviste..

Simple and Clean

When you walk away
You don't hear me say please
Oh baby, don't go
Simple and clean is the way that you're making me feel tonight
It's hard to let it go

You're giving me too many things
Lately you're all i need
You smiled at me and said,

Don't get me wrong i love you
But does that mean i have to meet your father?
When we are older you'll understand
What i meant when i said "no,
I don't think life is quite that simple

When you walk away
You don't hear me say please
Oh baby, don't go
Simple and clean is the way that you're making me feel tonight
It's hard to let it go (so simple and clean)

The daily things (like this and that and what is what) that keep us all busy
Are confusing me
That's when you came to me and said,

Wish i could prove i love you
But does that mean i have to walk on water?
When we are older you'll understand
It's enough when i say so
And maybe some things are that simple

When you walk away
You don't hear me say please
Oh baby, don't go
Simple and clean is the way that you're making me feel tonight
It's hard to let it go

Hold me
Whatever lies beyond this morning
Is a little later on
Regardless of warnings the future doesn't scare me at all
Nothing's like before

When you walk away
You don't hear me say please
Oh baby, don't go
Simple and clean is the way that you're making me feel tonight
It's hard to let it go

Hold me
Whatever lies beyond this morning
Is a little later on
Regardless of warnings the future doesn't scare me at all
Nothing's like before

Hold me
Whatever lies beyond this morning
Is a little later on
Regardless of warnings the future doesn't scare me at all
Nothing's like before

The Witch of Portobello
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

When I was in the mall yesterday, I found myself not checking out the usual stores. I realized clothes and shoes does not spark interest in me anymore. Hence, I believe it will take a while until my next purchase. What I've been really really wanting to buy ever since last month is a nice book.

So I hurried to the bookstore and this is what I've found. By none other than my favorite author. Now, let's all have a good read, shall we? =)

55 steps up

TRUTH ABOUT OJT HOURS.

I volunteered to work overnight since I am in a state where I'll do anything just to earn more OJT hours. Perhaps every freaking batchmate I spoke to are either through with their OJTs or just counting minutes. And then there's me,who chose to ride a jet to where '
tuktuk' drivers are asking foreigners for overpriced fares, who listened to a J-pop channel while sitting comfortably on a reclined airbus chair to the land of Mickey and Minnie.

To be totally honest, I could care less about going to office in the morning then to school in the afternoon. After all, I have the best cause there is -- travel. Although some people might think that I am a reckless student for not finishing my internship even though I could, still I would never have picked NOT traveling.

36 more hours to go. ;)

TRUTH ABOUT OJT TASKS.

The thing is, lately I somehow got attached to the work I'm doing; and when there's no task assigned to me, I feel incompetent and useless. Obviously no company would want to pay incompetent and useless internet surfing, bandwidth wasting, jet setting interns right? I'll get away with the bandwidth wasting and jet setting part. Incompetent and useless, that I could never be.

NOTE:
From the ground floor of GT Tower, you have to take 55 steps in the escalator up to the main lobby. That is when manong guard turns off the escalator. If you're on your 20s, you'll feel numbness on your thigh upon reaching the 45th step. When you're on your 30s numbness on your thigh occurs on the 35th step. When you're on your 40s you'll be hypertensive upon reaching the 20th step so take the elevators please. :) *wink*

Super kamehameha intern.
I am a super kamehamehame latteholic bum intern right now. I constantly refill my mug with latte so as to keep my brain in a working mood though there's no task assigned for me today.

Today is our advising day and I insist on going later in the afternoon instead of the usual. Most of my classmates are through with their OJT. On the other hand, I am still 70 hours far from the finish line.

I should put on my super power gears starting next week since I will be working in the morning and then attending classes in the afternoon. That should be fun!
